In an interview last year, Robert Kirkman announced that he would be ending this series in late 2017. Mr. Kirkman has written every issue of this series since it started back in 2003. The book was fresh and new because it was a superhero story started in the present day that wasn't weighed down by 50 years of continuity. Additionally, Mr. Kirkman made his villains sympathetic at times (the best stories do this...John Milton made Satan the most interesting character in Paradise Lost). The most fascinating aspect of this series though has been the fluidity of the heroes - some of the greatest champions engage in actions that many would consider evil. This heroic fluidity has continued into volume 23. Mark's father and Robot figure prominently here.While not losing its way, the series has existed long past the point of its height. Mr. Kirkman is probably aware of this, hence the fact that he will end it in another volume or two. This volume is entertaining and it is setting up the final showdown with the Viltrumite empire.

What more can I say if you're not reading this series you are missing out!!! I'm sad that it's ending soon.
Definitely not my favorite Invincible book, this one is worth reading mostly for the setup the battle with Thragg.
Great story. I heard that the series is going to end soon. Not a bad thing. Better to end the story, than have poor sales end it.
